Description

------- Apophysis Render 4 ------- A powerful and graceful feel to this piece led me to entitle it BLUE SHARK...... Great Blue and Jaws were ruled out pretty early in the naming process...... A very simple render using the FLAM3 render engine.... No post work other than crop and resize........ Although the piece is quite dark I quite like that.... Hope you like........ I use Open Source Software to create and produce my artwork..... This is because it is mostly FREE software..... For a full list of my current software take a look at my BIO on my HOMEPAGE..... I do use Adobe ImageReady for the final JPEGing..... I haven't found anything else that makes a low quality JPEG look quite so good..... I don't have a WACOM so for freehand I use my iPAQ to create 320x240.....

A shark it is, and a very majestic one too. Cool flame!

I think of the film "Abyss" and the underlit feel of the city and inhabitants at the bottom. The sense of movement is also particularly compelling. Well done.

Masterful scary stuff. I agree with Vecter's ABYSS analogy. Although I know where the shark comes from, it definately has that feel. Excellent work, superb colors, I'm glad you didn't adjust the contrast it would have taken too much away from the feel.

Very graceful structure - I see it more as some elegant and complex nebula; whatever it's quite cool.
