Description

Today's post has a different message. One I hope you will understand. When I first joined this amazing community almost a year ago, I was fairly new to art, and certainly to any art community. I was awed by the exquisite beauty of so many fractals and flames, of the talents of so many wonderful people. I added favorite artists as if there were no tomorrow! I now find myself inundated with so many Renderosity ebot notifications that I sometimes don't even make it through my ebot emails, much less the rest of my other emails. I have tried to keep in contact with some of the artists, and am failing miserably doing that. There are ladies, and gentlemen here that I consider friends and I don't want to lose that contact or friendship. I also have no time to view newer artist's works, nor any of the other galleries I have an interest in. I have decided to re-vamp my artists page. I will be editing my favorite artists list. I hope you will all realize that this doesn't mean that I don't love your art, because I do. There are so many wonderfully talented people here! Since I am in the fractal gallery every day, I will still be making comments, and voting on fractal art. You will have noticed the last several weeks that my comments have become less and less. This is due to the fact of such a long artists list of favorites, and also I am getting 'burned out'. I am wanting to learn other programs that I have, but now must choose between taking the time to learn them, or dropping a lot of commenting. I joined this community to learn more about art. So that is what I am going to do. It is my hope that none of you will be offended at my removing your names from my list of fractal artists. I want the chance to check out more Bryce, Poser, Photography galleries, and more. As always, I appreciate your time, and your comments. It is gratifying to know that you enjoy what I create! Thank You Again Leanndra Apophysis 2.03a Postwork: PSP7/Flaming Pear

boy do I understand that situation! I am always behind...rend is kinda slow and going from one page to the other sometimes makes you want to pull your hair out! I think most of us do understand and I know that I am going to have to consider taking similar actions myself..its kinda getting out of control...love this work, by the way,..the softness and pastel colors are beautiful..well done, Leann! :)V

Very considerate of you to take the feelings of others into account - and I can relate to your shortage of time. So many images to see & create, so little time! (Love the fractal. Instead of putting it on my faves list, I'll take a minute or two to visit your gallery.)

Such a lovely spiral .. Love the colorpalette you have chosen for this :) . . Absolutely beautiful work ::)) I remember when you got here .. and I can see how your work have progressed at rocketspeed !! :)) -- I understand completely what you are going through .. been there myself .. well I did have something going on in my RL as well .. but it also grew above my head. There are times you are thinking ... what is this about ... spending more on commenting than on creating .. can not be right. I love commenting ..and getting comments myself - but sometimes you must make your priorities ! You Leanndra is there at that point .. so you must do what you feel in your heart is right for you ! Not always an easy thing --- but something you have to do ! If you decide to take me off of your list ... I will truly understand .. we will still be friends no matter what :):) Hugsss zoozee :):)

Fascinating! I did make a comment. Perhaps I forgot to press submit. Perhaps I was censored. Who knows! Anyway, I appreciate what you have said, and the sympathetic way the problem is shown. Renderosity is best when it assists the growth of knowledge so go for it. Cliff.

Take it easy Leanndra, it's not the comments that count but the art if you ask me. I've never had enough time to comment on all the images I appreciate, and I doubt very few of us do. Just keep the images coming and drop a line when you feel like it, OK? Oh yeah, the image...a classic flame with a beautiful choice of colours, candy for my eyes :D C ya!

Beautiful design and colours!. Specially like those transparencies from the smaller spirals towards the end of the main one. About your words, go ahead my friend and welcome to the club!. You know I very well understand what you say and can surely relate to it!!.lol. Getting comments is very nice, specially when these are meaningful, but we must realize it often takes its toll on the artists who write them, ie. less time devoted to their own art creation and unhappiness in the end. Think it's time we begin to appreciate sheer # of viewings as a higher ranked reward. That means more artists both creating and having a chance to see more galleries. The result is obvious, art and artists win!

Well said. There's PR & stokeing other's ego's at one's learning expense. Personally, my priority is learning, without that, there's no art.

This is beautiful...I especially love the "rainbow" lighting in the lower left!! Unusual coloring and creative use of the gradient make this an "original" fractal! As for your comments...well said...I try to comment on the ones that really catch my eye but sometimes my carpal tunnel makes even that impossible. I do enjoy your work, however!!
