John 3:16BIOI am 17 years old and fairly new to the world of 3d and I find it really intriguing. I will probably do this for a career, God willing! I also enjoy playing music. I have a family bluegrass band and we are currently touring the state of Colorado, playing at various churches and other organizations. We recently went to Honduras for a mission trip and that was totally awesome! We just made a CD this summer, and guess what!!?? I made the cover on Bryce!!! I thought that it was sweet that i could combine my two favorite things into one single project. I have just gotten into animation within the past several months. I just finished an epic surrealistic chess battle which i got a grade for in art class, and I am now getting into extreme modeling and animation in MAX. I am just learning, so if there is anyone out there that can give me a few generic beginner's tips, I welcome them! As far as my 3D world goes, I started in October of 2003 with a hacked version of Bryce 5 that I found on an obsolete laptop in the corner of my art room at school. I began making very primitive landscapes like Bryce is so good for, and then I finally made breakthroughs and started creating some cool stuff. After over a year of "mastering" Bryce, my friend introduced me to 3ds Max and I was instanly hooked. So I got me a copy of it and it is well worth it!!! So now I am combining my knowledge of Bryce with the awesome modeling features of MAX while learning more about both programs and the art in general. It is really fun and I hope to be a part of the next generation of animators and artists!!! Renderosity rocks!

Fabulous play of lights on the ocean here! The size is only too big so I can see only parts of this image, perhaps downsizing to 1000 px width would help, and the slanting horizon can by a little rotation be removed. But the idea is fantastic, really a very beautiful capture! :)

A very dramatic seascape. I love the mood and atomosphere...the way the light seeps through the clouds onto the inky sea. Gorgeous stuff! How much better it would have been if you had rotated the picture to loose the slanting horizon. The picture is there, it just needs that finishing touch.
