Description

These are some practice objects that I made in C4D. What makes them so special are the mats on them. The mats were all made by Xceiverx (except for the shiny mat) and I love the way the wrap onto the objects, especially the pillar that I used in End of Dark Days. So wherever you are Scott, this one's for you. A big thanks for your generosity. I hope I'm not overloading everyone with so many images in one week. Just hope you enjoy the mats. (I wanted to put a link here but I can't find it anymore; they seem to be deleted) Thanks for looking, no need to comment.

Does anyone know why this image is so distorted on the sides? The object on the right is cylindrical but looks oval. I'm in my usual camera position so I'm at a loss.

I don't know enough to say why the edges are curved, but the image grabbed my attention! Especially nice mats. I love the floating orb and relecting egg shape below. Thanks!

Hey Jeff, this is a perpendicular (0 or 180 degree) camera shot, not the oblique default. That "egg" in the front is a sphere :D I use this alignment for most of my picts. I've just never seen it distorted to this extent...but hey, maybe they all are, huh? Lol.

Yes, the mats are fantastic & you've done an excellent job of mapping them onto some very interesting objects. The colors, lighting & sky all blend together very well also. The only things I find jarring & unnecessary are the bird & the flattened sphere above & to the left of the bird. They just seem uninteresting & randomly placed to me & throw off the balance of this otherwise superb image...
