Description

This is for you Vali. Stealing ones Artwork is bad enough. But Taking someones Name and claiming to be that person is so sick. The Person who did this to my Friend Vali, Should seek Mental help. This is so sick, it reminds me of a Stephan King Novel. Heres the link to a picture of Valis and what she had to say. http://www.renderosity.com/viewed.ez?galleryid=1085351&Start=1&Artist=Valentina&ByArtist=Yes Plus it Pissed me off Big Time. Thank you for looking. Have a good day.

I don't understand why someone would do that. I had a young man ask if he could use one of my images in a project and I told him ok. It was not a big deal. This is a hobby to me. He used my image and others with PERMISSION for an animation project where he made pictures fly up and out of a page for websites. The difference is he ASKED and I told him OK. I work too hard to learn Poser and develope my own style to want to steal someone else's work. I cannot imagine why people would steal other people's work. The are strange, indeed.

Identity theft is indeed an inherent problem with the Internet, and regarding this site, it seems the more high profile artists are affected the most. Art theft is more common here, but to actually post as that person is really crazy. I feel for Vali as I know she works hard on her art and she's such a sweetie! I frequent several sites and always keep my eye out for this type of thing, but I'll keep a sharp lookout for her images and products that have been infringed. Fantastic image and I can only wonder what the cat is thinking! Very thought provoking piece and it's a sign of the digital times we live in. Excellent work and thanks for the heads up!

Some people don't know the difference between right and wrong. Others don't care. Stealing is wrong, especially someone's identity. I don't know Vali well enough to call her a friend, but she's always been very pleasent to deal with when I've purchased stuff from her in the marketplace. The fact that this has happened to her five times is reprehensible. Excellent image.

I agree with Drifterlee -- we work too hard to learn Poser and work hard to make a "name" for outselves even if it is a hobby -- nobody should be stealing another's work or our name. I think most of us would allow it -- if we were ASKED. I also frequent other sites and will keep an eye out for any stuff I see out "there" with her name on it. I love your image Leah -- the cat's expression actually says it ALL! Excellent! However, I still love the one you did awhile back with a certain finger in the air by a certain fae. That was PRECIOUS....but this is AWESOME.

There is never an excuse for stealing anyone's work regardless of who it is or the mediums that it was done in. Even if someone is not familiar with copyright laws they know that what they are doing is wrong; further proof is the fact that they have not only stolen her work but her name as well. I am so sorry that this is happening to Vali and that it may have happened to others here. This is a wonderful image and and terrific way to show support for a wonderful artist and friend to so many here.

So horrible that someone would do that, what glory can be had in pretending to be someone else? Very nice image.

I can understand claiming someone elses art as ones own.. dispicable, but understandable. but to post as someone else, what's the point?? Great picture Leah.. :)

I remember when Vali published this piece. Terrible thing! You've created a very thought provoking image. If we all look out for one another, hopefully we'll be able to keep things like this from happening. Thank you, Leah, for saying it so elequently!

Turtle you have expressed this perfectly! I have never heard of stealing someone's name as well as someone's art. This is unbelievable! Thank you for bringing it to light. I shall go and see the piece.

ohhh...thank you so much ! This means very much for me, Leah ! And the image's subject is very well presented. Tou did a fantastic work here and I apreciate it a LOT ! Thank you from heart to you and to all for your support ! To me it is the fifth time my art and products were stollen, so each of you take much care of your art and look on every art site you find, because there might be always thiefs who can steal your work and claim it as theirselves. Nothing is sure on the internet...:-(

Stupendous image and sad denounce of the art robbery of Vali.I regret this situation that demonstrates the few scruples that have some people a lot.
