Description

I took this shot on the night of Diwali. Queenie was so scared that she was frozen under the bed, I used the torch to look at her and to try and calm her down but she was still frozen into the torch. The light was her fireworks display. She was so scared that she never came out to eat and when I did get her out she followed me everywhere even into the toilet where she (very uncharacteristically) ate a dead bug so I had to sit with her while she ate her food once carrying her there. Neat shot. Cats are a trip. They are a never ending puzzlement. I believe they are multi tasking between this world and somewhere else about half the time, lol. I am sorry to say i have absolutely no idea what the night of Diwali is or what it had to do with Queenie's fear.

Sad to see your baby so scared. I had to use Rescue Remedy on my pup to keep him calm. It worked like a dream. Very nice POV though despite the sadness.

Fireworks are a disaster for all animals. that's why i hate this kind of festivals. Your picture is wonderful and sad for your lovely lady.

You can desaturate it, I shot it in B&W and it wasn't as effective...

I must suppose that "Diwali" is a kind of local fair with fireworks... When there is a firework here my dogs do not like it too, maybe they think : "again this crazy human war" a cat or a dog will never imagine its for fun!!! Great shot anyway! Miauouuuu, ngrrrrrrr!
