Description

All Bryce Primitive Boolean models, Original mats/textures, and No postwork. Well, on last attempt, I tried to get everyone to look at my rack, but almost everyone seemed obsessed with my Balls... not that I'm not proud of my balls, ...they are quite nice, if I may say so myself, but I like "A really nice rack" (as per the title)! So, I went back and redesigned the rack with boolean corner inlays (not as easy as I thought) and focused on mats (The wood was really fun, tried about 8 combinations and applications. Artgum brought up the lack texture in the felt, getting that just right was truely challenging. T,BTW Still don't think it's perfect, but it's close enough for government work.). I really "HAD" to re-render this, 'cuz the last one only took 10 hrs. (You know me, it ain't SH*T unless it takes over 24 hrs. It's truely self-torture!!:D). I tweeked the render options and added 64 pixels/ray and a depth of 10 rays per/pixel, DOF 0.10, and soft shadows with 48bit post dither AA. I decided to render for print 4800x3600 @300dpi (instead of the computer scene "Bryce Images") and THAT popped it up to almost 5 1/2 days!!!:D The original bitmap image is 49M! Thanks for all the laughs and comments, we can always improve on perfection. brUNO www.3dkidscape.com PS~ I have an appointment with Tony @ Microsoft Ensamble Studios (Age of Empires/Mythology PC Game) to audition for the Art dept. doing conceptual art (painting) and some 3D art (3DS Max). My wife frames all their artwork for the office and knows Lysette really well. I'll let you know how it turns out.

You've got the most double-talk sounding speech here and it took me as long to read it all as the image took to load! (i'm still on 56K) It's a cool image, but it looks a bit flat, could you try zooming out?

Nice job on the balls. If you want to be even more accurate, try increasing the size of the ball numbers slightly. The rack is also proportioned wrong. It should be smaller and the side walls should be thinner. The stick diameter should be slightly larger as well. For perspective, pool balls are 2.25 inches in diameter and the standard cue tip is 13mm. Regardless, this is excellent work with Bryce. Now let's see the table.
