Description

These are my sons Joshua (the baby seen in my previous posted photo) and his younger brother William playing pool at a local bowling alley about two years ago. Again, nothing earthshattering from a technical or creative standpoint; just a family picture that has pleasant memories associated with it.

Nice memories. You're right not a great shot thou. But compacts aren't made for great shots, they're made for family shots.

You're right about compacts not being made for great shots. Trouble is, this wasn't taken with a compact. It was taken with the same Canon 35-millimeter we use at the newspaper where I work. The lighting in the pool room wasn't great and I took the picture in a rush, so I wasn't really concerned about possible artistic merits. And anyway, I never said it wasn't a great shot; I said it was nothing earthshattering from an artistic or technical standpoint, which (if I may be allowed to split a semantic hair) is somewhat different. Actually, given where I was, when I was and the circumstances under which it was shot, I thought it actually turned out quite good indeed. But then I'm biased, I guess...
