This female Mallard had an expression like she was watching the weather. It was funny to me, because it was beginning to cloud up like it was going to rain. I hope you are able to see her eyes looking upward. Comments Welcome!

She's probably looking up at you coming towards her with the camera~LOL~!!!!!! It IS funny, that expression she has?!? LOL!!! The details in the feathers is amazing!!!!!!! excellent work!!!!

very fine portrait ! she might have been watching a bird of prey - i have often seen them only by following a duck or wader's eye. if there does not seem to be a direct threat, they will watch but not show any sign of alarm.
