Description

Not quite sure I completely understand the process here. Worshippers would purchase a bundle of incense sticks from the man behind the counter, light them, wave them around, then stick them upright in this sand-filled urn. Then this other man would (immediately) come by, collect the burning sticks, and dispose of them in the trash. Leaving the urn empty and ready for more. I, of course was trying to get pictures of all of this while rapidly editing my 1G CF card (now full). The "guide," apparently unofficial, kept trying to get me to shoot other things, not understanding basic, "Camera empty, please wait." The architecture was beautiful BTW.
