Description

Yesterday I had another one of those horrible experiences..... where I missed an opportunity for some really good shots. It didn't matter why, there's always some reason or another, but it got me to thinking about how we see things and why we love (and sometimes hate) photography. There will always be a moment when you see something soooooo amazing that you just want to be able to see it over and over again. Or maybe you just want to be able to share that awe with someone else. Those moments are captured one of two ways....with a camera...or with your memory. Since I had to capture yesterdays images with my memory, I thought I would try something my RR friend, Dave (escafeld), did with some of his recent posts. I pulled up several different folders of photos I had taken in the last couple months and started making a collage of sorts with the cloning tool. Clouds off one photo, a waterfall off another, etc. I couldn't tell you exactly how many photos I used....6, 10, maybe more. The thing that was very gratifying about it, was the final outcome. I felt like I had taken many mediocre pictures and turned them into a piece of art! This is what I love about digital art! I would like to thank everyone who viewed my last several posts and took the time to comment. I appreciate you more than words can say, but I'll say it anyway, Thank You!

I love the idea and the results, very cool!! I do certainly know whar you mean about missing shots, I did the same last night when I went to the airport. I knew there was going to be a full moon coming over the Whites, and I kept telling my self all day, 'don't forget your camera tonight!!' Oh well I will try again tonight, we will see. And oh! by the way the moonrise last night was fantastic!! Anyhoo, I really like what you did here, it looks really creative that is for sure!8-)

You know.....I really wanted to do a "Jack Handly's Deep Thoughts" kind of thing, but wasn't into it last night.....so maybe I could give you a little humor today, but then if I did that you might think less of this picture...and maybe leave bad comments.....and make me feel bad.....and then thoughts of death would enter my head......and I might remove this lovely piece.......never to be seen by man nor beast....did any of you see the mt lion/mule trashing on the Bryce forum......pretty funny!

Here I go again...this reminds Me of "Ghost Riders in the Sky" ...or perhaps "Ghost of Christmas Past"...now I am seeing "Children of the Corn" . A fine Image that is bound to give Me a restless Nights Sleep ;]

the result really is breathtaking and filled with nature's beauty! like the change of 4 seasons in one image and the heavy mood caused by the farewell of each one! ;o)
