Description

Another pic from Bandelier. This , I believe is a storage area for the Pueblos. It's about 3 meters in diameter and about 2 and a half meters deep. It's located in a huge cut out in the side of the mountain. It's very dry and dusty there as you can see. If you would like to see yesterday's pic from Bandelier along with some info Click here to see. ENJOY TODAY

been a long time since i've been there. I'm pretty certain this is a kiva, a ceremonial structure, spiritual rites were carried out there. Men only, no women were allowed in. excellent shot.

what I really like, beyond the intrinsic value is that earth tone that defines most part of the scene. super!

Nice shot! This was a nice surprise to see posted because I went here two years ago... brings back good memories... I remember climbing those ladders to get up to where this shot took place and couldn't believe there haven't been people who have been seriously injured!!! Excellent work!!! +++

Another awesome shot! I wonder what this structure was for? Sacred rituals? Or a place to escape the women folk? ; )

Excellent capture. Is that dust in the air, or smoke? Pinyon, I hope. Nice use of sun angle to enhance the dust/smoke. Again, appreciate the write-up with the pic -- Dick
