Description

I think this is the first time I've ever worked with a Mandelbrot... I mean without switching to Julia mode. This uses the Mandy from the Standard folder along with Smooth Mandelbrot, Gaussian Integer and Orbit Traps from the same folder. The netting effect is something that Maria (CavalierLady) helped me with a while ago... (thanks again, Maria!)... and utilizes Jos Ley's Backdrops along with several mapping transforms. The map of Italy, border and sig were added in PSP.

Thanks so much for your gracious comments on my previous uploads and for taking the time to click through to this one. Hugs! Helen :)

p.s... It's Ulli's birthday... Happy Birthday, Ulli!! :)

This is awe-inspiring work. Veiled secrets and the reality make a mystique of its own. Much beauty in the forms and intense shapes in shades and tints with the Boot. The theme is land of much highly and cultured people coming to mind from Mediteranean life. Charmed, indeed.

Your most inspired and inspiring work to date! The blending of textures is perfect. It has that old world charm with a mystical new age sensibility. DaVinci himself would have been impressed, and rightly so!

With every entry you make, I ask "can your work possibly get any better?" It always does. If you keep setting the bar, pretty soon you will need a ladder!
