Very good atmo - you don't necessarily have to register Terragen to achieve realism; for something more alpine, try a clearer, bluer atmo - have less bump on your snow layer(s) and a little less fractal noise - basic lighting seems fine, the light decay setting notwithdtanding - perhaps more layers for your rock would be nice (give it a little variation). Finally, as interesting as this terrain is, it's not alpine - try playing with WorldMachine for a more obvious mountains and glacial valleys - erosion is the key here :) Keep it up!

Wonderful sunset scene. The light on the snow looks awesome. One suggestion, for the snow layer, use lower settings for sharpness and fractal noise. The colors of the sky and clouds are beautiful.
