Description

When i moved to the mountains almost 14 years ago i could finaly have the dog that i always wanted, with room for her to run and play and be free..so i got Brownie,a pure bread Rottwieller..she was the cutest puppy ever and went with me everywhere and stuck by my side, when she was 2 she had a litter of puppies,,,my wife still has one of her pups(Iris)she was a wonderful mother...she went thru schutshound training and was found to do anything for food.up until a few months ago she would dance for her dinner and would sit just like a human on our footstool.she lost her hearing about a year ago and then had a nasty tumor that had to be removed and after that is was downhill...i buried her today on our meadow and planted a redwood on her grave....She will be missed. a special thank you to our neighbor Judy who spent her full time with Brownie for the last 2 weeks and made it so much easier on her and everyone else..You are an Angel...

Bill, she was a beautiful dog. Mom had a male Rott that looked much like this. He aged and finally started losing the ability to navigate. She was heartbroken when time came to end his pain. Recently we had to do the same for our little Chuiwawa (how is that spelled?). My heart goes out to you and I know it will be a long time before the hurt eases. All I can do is send a hug your way. Awwwwwwwww.... What a beauty! Rotties have a bad rep, but I've always found them to be big, sweet babies. Again, I'm so sorry for your loss, and I know you'll miss her. But I'm sure she's waiting for you to join her some day on the other side of the Rainbow Bridge. hugs

There are no words which can help at a time like this, dogs can be true friends in this life and one can only hope they are waiting for us in another. We have found that one way to fill the void is to search out another dog companion...one who needs a human as much as you need a dog...

You and Brownie were so fortunate to have each other and I know how much he will be missed. I think it's wonderful that you were able to keep him close by in a beautiful meadow where his spirit continues to run free.

So sorry to hear about your loss, Bill, and I wish I honestly don't know how you feel. We take in these animals from wherever they spawn, give them love and share out lives with them, and they quickly become part of the family with no conditions. It's always a devastating loss when we lose them, but the fond memories and the joy they bring into our lives will always be there. Excellent capture, and hang in there, pal!!
