It looks a bit like my grandfather's house on old 104 in upstate New York. The clapboard siding and ivy tangles are a pleasant cliche of houses built before 1970 or so in the East. The assymetry is unfamiliar as well as the window in the middle of the upper story where the hallway runs. This homeowner could afford to be a bit extravagant though lacked the eminence of a professional perhaps being a merchant. The side porches say he was into milling where goods are received from wagons.
