Citizens, allow me to present my card. The Dark Angel's trail brought me here. The Whitby Indcident gave me the lead that I needed.

Hi, I'm Ian. Wife, two cats, motorcycle and a house full of WWII military aviation paraphenalia. I'm a bit of a 'happy snap-per', currently wrestling 'The Camera of Doom', a Cannon EOS 300d, into submission. Began career in an area where photography was part of the job, and it was done largely 'at the run' or through various doors, including helicopter doors. The documentary/narrative style is my forte, and I still prefer to work outside with minimal equipment, although I am now getting accustomed to working in a studio environment, to the extent that I have my own portable lighting rigs. My specialist subjects are bands, (either gigs or promotional) and the Gothic/Alternative scene, but not to the exclusion of anything else. Have worked with other photographers who specialise in the same fields of interest. Still learning to walk as far as Photoshop is concerned. It's a great way to learn about the art of photography, meet all kinds of people and make friends. Hope to make more here.

Well, getting into the swing of things at last. Another special piece of true Goth uploading. I hate to say this, it's really sticking in my throat but...this is good, really bloody good!

Beautiful work, dark and gentle. :)

Indeed, really bloody good! LOL @ DarkestAngel - great staging and shot, very effective post work, and fer'sur, bloody good! Something I always think about when text is below - unless it is somehow incorporated into the image, then if/when it goes into a gallery, the text will slip away. So I tend to take the posting of poems, quotes, etc as just a web thing. The image stands quite well on it's own, here just another dimension of your intent.... Yeah, ramble on, but reacting to 'kaybee's' comment.

I've taken kaybee's comments on board, and am having a ponder about the signature..maybe a duller colour would distract less, and although they are not my words they are infromed by loss. My wife grew the lily in our backyard BTW.

Love the red, the nose ring, and the grave yard. I have LOTS of graveyards I shoot. And especially the line, "...should this turn to just a dream". I can relate. Trust me. It can. Nice work.
