Ok I know most can care less about my car and motorcycle models. But this is nearing perfection on materials..
All materials by me except the bike paint which I tweaked by Bountful Knight from his up and coming AutoMat set.
The model is a freebie from around the web, and is one of the best free models I encountered only flaw is the disc brakes where they didnt seem to pay as much attention to detail.
Please give critisism I need it as to what you think could be better.

it might have been 100%, but it lost something in the jpeg. There's something not-quite-right about the reflections, though.

Actually, I like your images a LOT - don't have to stop making images you like because you think other people don't appreciate them. Try making a limited size "floor" (edges just outside camera view), and make your environment black, that way you'd see the edge of the floor in the bike reflections, giving it a more studio feel. Cool render! Keep 'em coming!

Looking Excellent Brett! I'm like you, that illusive 5% is the part that just gets you by the scruff of the neck and keeps dragging you along LOL. After twiddling 1800 MATs twice over for the AutoMATs, I finally had to say "enough" and pacage it. Your extra tweeks have got it very close to reality (minus the dirt, scuffs and grime that most real bikes end up with of course :-). I think the lighting and HDRI setup is all that you really should play more with at this point. Move the main fill light more above the bike and the highlights on the non-reflective parts will match the HDRI light setup better. Of course, you'll probably still want to keep a slight straight-on fill as well, but at a fraction of the intensity. Still, looks great as is!

You are right, some people (like me) don't get that excited about pictures of bikes and cars. That said, I admire your constant struggle towards making the most photorealistic bike photo in a program that was never really meant to do that in the first place. Your dedication shows that Vue is certainly capable of rendering that sort of stuff, wich, like it or not, is predominant in 3D. Now, if I may suggest a few things, first you must raise the sampling quality of GI to get the shadow on the floor looking better and smoother. Also, I think that the lighting needs improvement. The black parts on the bike (especially the wheels) are much too dark. This will never happen in a real show room. There will allways be light bouncing from everywhere. So, either use radisoity instead of simple GI, or simply add more soft lights to cover those areas. Finally, don't use anything lower than superior quality, and allways render at a higher resolution than your final image (so you can allways make it smaller and smoother). Hope this helped a bit :)

sampling quality could have been better.this is the only penalty that i see. even this render is beyond my ability and my pc's capabilites. Excellent!!!
