Description

I may have gotten some people mad at me yesterday for saying I donot shot flowers much. I donot is true. I try to shot flowers but My close ups most the time is bad or the colors is wash out and I try to get bugs in the shot too but they out of forus. I look at yours flower shots and say wow that super looking . They need to be on the months of the years stuff. Or in a store for sell. lol I not that good. I just think of things to do I do not know they just pop in my head and I act on the thoughts the best I can. Yes I shot night shots like this one I put a flashlight up on the floweron the side of the road then I have a colemanlight in the background on a string moveing it back and forth. i set the camera on night and put the timer on I shot a lot of them the same way and this is the best one. I do have this in the day time. I may post it tomorrow I do not know I love your shots of flowers . i just have diff ideals that all. You may have did this or thought of this or saw others do this I donot know. look like a farie fly by this one lol

Very interesting way of shooting flowers. Sometimes you have to do things different. When you experiment, you might get a good shot. Aloha

@peluderrimo: you ever hear of "pushing the (artistic) envelope" or experimentation? Sheesh, some people have NO imagination! Jock, you deff got an interesting effect, might be worthwhille playing with contrast/levels?

I think it's a very unique way of lighting the flowers. I would never have thought of something like that. Thank you for sharing your ideas with us.

This is very pretty and very creative Jock! Would make a nice Faery background for Poser! Keep doing your experiments! One of these days you may find something no one else has found yet! Anything thing is possible if your willing to experiment! :)

Interesting effect. Creative idea. I like the glowing flowers but i agree the levels or something could maybe be tweaked a bit to lower the hot spot intensity. If i knew what i was doing most of the time, i think some of the fun would go out of the process, lol. Good job.

Nice creation, If you had take the shot abit further back it would've been more of a success. But I do like the effect. And you're right not really well focused...

A walker sees many things illuminated by lights at the side of the roadway. He knows not to love or hate the big things that roar by or he might walk into the glare with too much adrenalin.

Against most of the comments, I agree with peluderrimo that this photo needs improvement. I think it is a good idea and experimenting is cool but this photo is still "not there".

He he, everyone one's own favorite topics, and although it can be good the explore new boundaries it's good to discover what one can shoot very well (and enjoy doing that), and what one cannot shoot well. Wonderful work, though-provoking! :)

I never thought of it but I wish I did because it looks great, especially the bright swinging light and the way the flowers look towards the top of the picture. Great imagination as usual, fantastic shot!
