Nice to meet you all. My name is Andrew (Drew) Sokol. I've been into Photoshop and Painter for about 3 years. There's sooo much to learn. I appreciate everyone's support and am so grateful to Renderosity.com for just being!
-DrewBIOAfter 6 years in college (B.S. Radio/TV/Film, San Diego State Univ.), followed by 10 years in advertising, followed by 10 years as a photographer, I took a break (or experienced mid-life crisis) and left America to travel the world teaching English.
4 countries and 6 years later, I discovered Photoshop on a computer at an English school in Thailand. The program re-energized my interest in photography. After one year of 8-hour days on the computer with Photoshop, I developed an interest in 'painting' photographs.
Next step, buy Painter. My most recent images were created using both Photoshop and Painter.
Thanks to all who have viewed and commented about my images. It has helped give me confidence to return to the States, and to a career in photography and digital imaging.

Oh what a charming and skilled image!!! You have such a rare touch. The fall colors add so much feeling and atmosphere, and the clothing looks light and pretty. ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL!

Very nice Drew. I like the feel of this. I love the way the little girl seems to be wilting a bit under the October sun, while pulling the big red wagon. Your changes are very effective and make this image so nice.
