Description

Here in the UK summer has lingered longer than is the norm, with hot days and plenty of rain. Autumn has been late in coming, and there is still, even in mid November, more green than gold in the trees and the roses are still in bloom. When the seasonal change did come, it was a sudden happening, with temperatures plummetting overnight. We awoke to a landscape silvered with frost. A stray sunbeam, filtering through the branches of the stately old oak tree outside the garden lighted a single, perfect red rose. As the bloom danced in a slight breeze it awoke sparkles, diamond dust upon the red velvet petals. The last rose of summer. A rose for remembrance. Bydd i ti ddychwelyd.

Nice detailed texture on the rose. So true, its freezing over here. But the frost does make everything look nicer. I want snow!!!

Only one comment, get rid of the fence (it looks to fragile and such) and replace that with a frosted brickwall. there should also be frost on the branches (who look way to plastic-like now) and leaves.

The rose is quite good, but I would'used a more muted mat on the fence. You're description of the season change in the UK is typical of Canada. Seasons here are like a switch (On or Off).
