Description

Rendered with current in-development ver. of volumetrics. As usual, land is isosurface. Minor postwork (sharpen and levels) done in gimp.

Mhhh, I don't comment often in this Gallery, but here the atmosphere reaches perfection...only the surfaces of the mountains could be improved,(like the foreground peak, which isn't very realistic); the clouds look like a photograph. It reminds me of a morning, last summer in the French "Pyrs" (Pic du midi), where I had the luck to see a wonderful "cloudsea". So this kind of picture has a particular meaning for me.. I'm really intrerested by your recent work, as I loved the realism of your canyons too :)
