I like the ambience, but thw darkness (sorry) makes it hard to critique. The curbstones really stand out against the road; I'd tone them down quite a bit, since they're subject to the same dirtying as the road itself. Oh, and the horse looks as if it's walking - with an empty carriage.

Nice work, I cant quite see what is going on between those two persons tho. Is one dead?, I think I see a knife, it's hard to tell...Maybe play with the POV might give the viewer a clearer idea as to what is going on. Other than that I think the lighting is great, the poses look good and the subject matter is very interesting.. the horse could have a better non-walking pose tho.
