Description

We spent the weekend out of town for Danielle's Hockey Tournament. Her team came in 2nd place. :) A nice gentleman at the Arena walked up to me and commented on what a nice camera I have. I didn't know him from Adam, but when I looked what he had in his hands,I was thrilled to see the exact camera as mine .. Including the same lens! (300mm) !! Naturally we had a lot to talk about; and he was kind enough to give me a crash course in manual settings. We carried on like we were long time friends. :) Here is a shot I had taken on our way home tonight from the tournament ... Manual settings here .. I do believe I'm starting to figure some of this stuff out. Hope you like my first attempt at 'night time photography'. I kinda liked the sillouetted watertower here ... I would have preferred there be a beautiful lake in foreground, but I had to be happy with what I could get... You like? (critics wanted, please..... I want to learn this stuff ... but go easy on me .. lol) Thanks for stopping by and for your comments and messages .. they mean a lot to me. Take Care, Shari

Wow, first time at night photos? Could have fooled me. Reminds me of Seattle Space Needle. Gorgous sunset. I envy you having someone to show you how. Aloha and have a great week.

when something is this beautiful it is difficult to find anything to find wrong. a tripod may take some focus issues out or sharpen in your favorite software. if you hand held this holding a 300 lens then extremely impressive

Beautiful image! The only critique I might add is to try leaving the soft focus off on this one.It seems to have caused a little mild ghosting around the water tower. Own the crisp reality of the shot because it is an awesome one.
