Looking good! Every thing from the background to the ship models looks excellent.

This is great you did an excellent job...try this for the explosions go into the material editor and click on the purple button in the top right corner and then change the colors to a whiteish blue...then go back and duplicate the spheres and add the texture stars make the sphere bigger than the original and render walaa you have electrical particals coming from the explosions...
