Description
This image was created because of a debate... My friend was argueing that traditional art is the only way to truly create great art. I argued that CG art can be just as good if applied correctly. So... here is my attept at creating a traditional piece of work but by modern methods.
Created in Photoshop over a 2 day period.

If anyone else is crazy enough to do this, Make sure you don't include a pineapple! It takes forever to paint!!! :)

wonderful textures and light! this is really very good. i'm missing a bit of a background, but the fruits are excellent and very realistic looking. (and of course i believe cg art is art.. that goes without saying. ;) )

Geez, renderosity can have a complete forum dedicated to that argument. But it's not a new one. There are many great 'traditional' artists that have turned to CG. Does that mean their art is no longer great? I like the pineapple.
