Hi all and welcome to my little spot in South Africa. A bit about me - I'm a single mom of two naughty but gorgeous teenage children who keep me active well after dark (trying to avoid the obstacles they leave on the floor all over the house :o) Life has thrown me a few interesting curves and angles and I'm still trying to make head or tale (yes, tale!) of which direction I'm meant to be going in. I am a poet and writer by nature and I dabble in a bit of photography on the side. Thanks for stopping by and visiting my home at Renderosity. Hugs all!
BIO
I am a South African single mom of two mischievous children who loves life and thinks that having a positive attitude and love are the best gifts you can give the universe. If there is a challenge, bring it on. If you have a problem to solve, I am here. If you need a shoulder to soak, I wear soft padded jackets. lol I am a full time employee who dabbles a bit in poetry, writing short stories and loves to mess around with Terragen and my camera. To all who dropped in to see who I am - welcome and thanks for stopping by.. Hugs to you all.
UPDATE:
Teens NO MORE!!! Now a naughty grandmother who leads her grandson astray on a regular basis :D

Welcome to the species known as 'humanicus frustratus'' WINK. Excellent little ditty!! Btw - I think Miss Oprah has done much for society. But, she loses me when she tells the ladies, "Be who you are and be proud of it" (While wearing fake hair, false eyelashes, the best clothes designers money can buy, and enough make up to make one forget her actual looks). SMILE. One step at a time, kind soul. T.P.

Great story - seems very familiar, only I ain't got kids, I got over being overweight and I didn't use chocolate, but beer. I stopped when I met a guy really worth wile and my family doctor gave me some hints concerning my blood pressure being "just a lil bit" high for my age, and a possibility of "popping off out of the blue". Thank God for docs who don't use euphemisms!

An acquaintance of mine, can't exactly call her a friend for the delight she took in ripping my stories, entered writing contests, and won several - you know the "first chapter and three-page synopsis variety (and never finished). Did that for years. Two young kids and pilot for a husband, she had her hands full. But writing was her obsession. At long last she closed the door and wrote, and wrote, and re-worked the piece until finished. She won the Writers Digest award that year and had her Romance novel published by a major house. The trick, she said, was in keeping the door closed. p.s. Oh, my stories needed to be laid bare, but I could have done without her glee -- Dick
