Description

"There is no such thing as chance; and what seem to us merest accident springs from the deepest source of destiny." --Johann Friedrich Von Schiller

Tell that to the pilot of this boat. Perhaps it was the former captain of the Exxon Valdez. . . ----- Thanks for stopping by and for your knotty comments on my last photo, The Gordian Knot.

Your quote from J. F. von Schiller is something I am going to contemplate upon today. I appears to have many applications to its meaning. The photograph is a perfect accompaniment to the words.

What a contrast! The dock seems relatively new! While the "Boat" (The term loosely used here) Seems to have seen it's better days come and go!! Excellent capture!

I agree with the guy above... You've got special skill to find the shot which fits the best your quotations... That's a real work and you make it brilliantly...

Seems like a good excuse to lay down Ernestine III. Was this Rita's handiwork? I don't think I'd have wanted to be anywhere near the pier on the day this ship came in.

LMAO....perhaps the captain was from one of those. Very humorous. I love the photo. I just love old wrecked boats sinking slowly. Now isnt that strange. Actually the textures are really great on old water logged wood. Great shot !! I love this kind of image. V and FAV

There must be an interesting story to this picture. Maybe the launching of the SS Minnow from Gilligans Island. Love this capture. Aloha
