Welcome to Dreamer's Wish Studios. I am Beth Carroll. Many of you know me as "Newpy". Years ago, a friend of mine suggested I visit Renderosity and I have been here ever since. I became interested in the many forms of art shown here and have come to know many fine artists. I have been blessed with many friendships. Some of them, I am sad to say are no longer with us for one reason or another. They and their artwork are greatly missed.
I work mainly with Fractals and Photography, but I also work with Poser. I have dabbled also with Terragen, Vue, and some mixed media.
I hope as you browse my gallery that you will be inspired to try some of these forms of art. I am always learning and I would love to hear your opinion. I would also like to thank my friends here at Renderosity for your friendships and encouragement. I have watched many of you grow in your artwork and I have been inspired. I am grateful for the many artists willing to give their input. I look forward to many more years here looking at marvelous works.

Very nice lighting and a lovely sky, and I like your terrain, Beth. Wonderful colors in your surface. You might try experimenting with..and without..slope and altitude constriants..and play with bump and fractal noise (decrease). The lower foreground surface looks almost liquid..is that water? Overall, an excellent effort and a great result!

Cool landscape. I've found the angle of light can have a great impact on how the surface looks. Keep experimenting.

Very good; I love the terrain and pov. Agree with Linda's comments and you might also like to experiment with the scale/depth setting. I never really understood this but here's a link to a great article by Oshyan: http://oshyan.ashundar.com/detail_texture_tutorial4.html

OK, I've recently downloaded Terragen and can't get even close to this with the basic version with still no added resources. Terrain shaping and textures are just outstanding with the means you now have. I'm humbled and totally impressed!
