Description

This was taken a few weeks ago in central Oregon at Cove Pallisades State Park, where the Deschutes and Crooked rivers converge. They've each carved six hundred foot deep canyons through the sediments and lava flows. I love the starkness of this part of the country. No PP excecpt frame and resize. Canon 10D, 1/30 at f16, ISO 100 Thanks for looking and any comments.

Awesome image, and the layers are fascinating. What happened to create that huge white layer 40 gazillion years ago?

It is a great shot, and all those layers are certainly awesome. Just think of all the time it took to create them. Boggles the mind.
