Description

Making a model of the EV-1. The recall of which is mired in controversy. Likewise, finding good pics is just about as tricky as finding an actual EV-1 in one piece. *shrug* So I managed to find some pics that are adequate from linked sites at ev1.org. Not the best, since they have quite a bit of perspective and aren't exactly straight on... But close. Thus my model can only get yea close. I suppose it's better than nothing though.

I remember the high hopes like with the Chrysler turbine car. The Hughes control system was an aerospace marvel. In the end it lost because people could not dictate to it. It said I can go 100 miles max. They said that is just the charge guage and it is inaccurate like the gas guage. At 100 miles the coasting began. The driver was stunned. He leaned to his passenger and said I'm glad this one is clay with tin foil for bumpers. Just imagine this happening at rush hour in stop and go traffic! The passenger plugged in a wire from her briefcase and said, "Yes, and what if I had no spare?" The joys of having a wife with technical expertise.
