On the whole I think it has the makings of a nice scene. It looks like a screen render that hasn't quite finished rendering or you have run a filter on this pic. I would render this scene again at a fairly high quality, then see what it looks like before running filters. Maybe just play with contrast etc and see it goes. LOSE THE BORDER PLEASE!!!! Keep Brycing and stop painting the walls. Good Luck.

Hi Evie! Agree with the above, it has the potential to be an excellent image, but it seems very pixellated as though it hasn't been rendered to the maximum quality. I'm no Brycer so I can't give any technical info; I'm sure there will be someone who can. Keep at it Evie, I'm intrigued and excited by your Bryce progress. Hope you feel better soon. - Graeme.

I don't know maybe its me but I can see exactly what it was you were trying to do here. Border included. I think its a great try.

I can't say much about Bryce because I've had Bryce for a long time but I put it on the back burner while I've been learning another program. The way my artwork has been going lately, I'm thinking I'm getting too old to continue with it all. For this effort I agree with those above. I do think it best to leave the frame off and take it easy with the filters until you have mastered Bryce. The filters make it hard to see what you have done in Bryce itself. Without the filters you can get more critiques on the Bryce. I give you KUDOS for keeping up with trying to learn it. Hugs, my friend. :)

Keep Brycing...and by the way...Bryce has enough excellent effects in its own right without having to resort to Filters etc! Keep at it 'gal! You're getting there. xxxx

Very pretty! I love the frame too.

I don't normally like borders so I vote to leave it off. You seem to like color and I do too. The filtering doesn't bother me as it gives the image lots of life but the image is a bit pixelated looking. Have fun with it and continue to post...never be afraid to share. :)

I think it's beautiful and I too noticed the frame as well....wish I had Bryce to mess around with.... Love this and the colors and frame Excellent presentation....... Vote n hugs Susan~

Bravo Evie.. like everyone says above.. let's see what you can do with just Bryce.. Framing is ok.. but leave other touchups alone for a bit.. The key Bryce elements I see are a textured mountain, water and reflections.. sooooo... to start.. click file and document setup.. set the resolution for 800x600. Notice below is a button for antialiasing? Leave it off for now.. to speed up renders.. when ready for a final render.. go back and turn it on.. it will get rid of that grainy (Pixilated) look. During pre-renders.. make sure the ball just left of the biggest lowest (Render-ball) is on (blue).. This gives fastest renders.. for final render turn it back off and you will see Bryce do multi-passes at making a render. Don't give up! Your doing fine.. give me a call when you want help in person.. or give me a call anyway.. I can tutor on the phone fairly easy.. Hugs and a Bravo from Dave :^) (vote for effort)

Keep it up Evie, it's a great terrain, and the reflections are almost there... I too do not know much about Bryce, but this would be superb standing alone... Excellent go round and I see a huge improvement over your past ones... WTG girl... You can do it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Evie, here's a link where you will find a great tut for Bryce. My suggestion is give it a quick read than choose a subject that interest you download it print it out and follow instructions choose something very simple at first. This site goes from very basic (such as understanding the Bryce interface (what all the buttons are for as an example, seting up your page etc.etc. About filters, use very spairingly with Bryce an example where you may wish to use a fitler say from PSP, Photoshop or any other image Editor is for an object in motion where motion blur would be used to show that the object is going some where (a car, boat etc.) Girl your doing great do not give up by all means and keep posting all these wonderful artist's here will encourage and help you. Here's the link http://www.robinwood.com George
