Not the first set of laws ever given, but certainly one of the shortest. Hamurabi, "The Law Giver", set forth over 100 laws. First time in recorded history, nearly 3 centuries I believe before the Jews set down these laws. Hmm too bad that there are those of us in high places in this world that don't bother to listen to these laws, let alone the laws of their country, and that of the world. Ahhh well, not everyone is intelligent enough to abide by a few laws.
