Description

Photograph made with my Nikon D70S and a Tamron lens 18-200 mm. No postwork only framed with Photoshop 7 Hi my friends ! Here I am... after 3 weeks in Thailand it's very difficult for me to return to a "normal" and European life.... Not so happy to be here... and it will more difficult to return to work tomorrow.... I've made a wonderful trip. I met people of an incredible kindness everywhere or I was. And really the choice which I had made at the beginning, to go (except Bangkok) in places which are not at all touristic, was an excellent choice. When I was in the forest, in the area of Chantaburi, I didn't cross only one European or American during 10 days... only the country life Thai. A real happiness !!!! I came back stronger and with the conviction that our way of life is completly crazy (I had no doubt about that before....) and that if we want to life happy, with a higher quality of life, we must go back of Europe and to live in another way ! Anyway, after a selection of my shots.... I kept "just" 1200 about the more than 1700 I've made in 3 weeks.... lol ! But don't worry.... I don't want to post you all of them ;o))))) Just a small selection ! And I'll also made so many new pages on our website with new galleries (when I'll found the time to work on it....) This is a Passiflora quadrangularis (Great Granadilla). One of the tree there were in the place where I had my Thai bungalow near the village of Tapsai... This garden, in the forest was a real paradise ! If you want to learn more about this flower, just click here : Passiflora quadrangularis And to see another sort of Passiflora, you've got the superbs shots made by Michel (GiMi53) since some days : "Fruits & Flowers (Passiflora #4)" If some of you want to go in Thailand, and if you want the adress of the place I was, I send you the link, go to have a look here : A wonderful guest house in the forest... If you want to see the last landscape post in GIANCARLO'S gallery, just click here : "Magic Flowers" Have a wonderful evening my friends !!! I missed you ! Sincerly, Nathalie, and always close to me, Giancarlo

Welcome back my dear friend. I have thought often of you and knowing that you not only had a great time but are also safe, brings me great comfort. Much of what you write is so very true. We are living a crazy life because we have been told by advertisers we need to buy this and that or we will not be happy. Having less and appreciating that which we have and especially the people and friends should really be out main goal. It is not, Maybe some day we all will wake up and realize what we have missed by running after the currency needed to buy what we thought we needed. Thank you for sharing and welcome back my dear friend.

Yay! You're back and lots of wonderful experiences crowd your mind (in place of all the issues we carry in our silly European minds), of course! This is a wonderful floral start if what you're going to show us, I suppose! Love it! Excellent work! Welcome back, tell us how to survive in the European economical desert! ;)

YAAAAY!!! Youre back!!!! And with stunning photos as well. I remember that flower actually...well not that specific one...duh. LOL. Thailand sure is heaven on earth. Ive been there twice already, and im thinking about going again next year. Just a pity it takes almost 17 hours to fly there....well worht it though. I couldnt agree more about going off from the "tourist-pits". We stayed in a bungalow in the rainforest for a night and that was an experience ill never forget. The sound of the jungel was mindblowing....and the scorpion on my pillow wasnt something ill forget either, lol. As i lied there, in bed, i turned my head around and saw that thing creep up my pillow up against my eye. It must have been no further away than 10 centimeters when i saw it....i spent the rest of the night fully dressed with shoes and everything....in steaming heat...watching ever so closely on the walls and the ceiling, lol. Nice to have you back Nathalie. Cant wait for the remaining 1199 shots. #;O)

Dommage.

How thrilling to have you back safe with us. I am so pleased you had an enlightening trip. These pictures of the Crucifixion flower are wonderful. We have a variety in the UK, but it is less 'camp' around the edges. Looking forward to more from you. xx
