Description
It's no secret that I'm not particularly a religious person. But I've always taken to Mary, and when I saw this alter (thank you, UweG), I had to do a render with it. Seems, most of my traditional religious faith stems from Mary, seeing as I was raised Catholic and all. She brings me much comfort. The eternal mother, I suppose.
Wonder if she has any good chicken soup recipes, to help with my cold...? *grin*

I just love this scene and agree with the others-everything about it is just right. It is a powerful image of personal prayer but portrayed in a subtle fashion. I think sometimes religious themes can jump out at you but this image draws you in by a soothing manner. I think it is just lovely.
