Description
For non european people. The retreat of Russia took place in 1814 -or was it 1813 ? I don't remember - when Napoleon' s huge army was wiped out by the Russian winter.
For everybody. I added snow in Corel.
I have noticed that the average quality of the pictures is rising and I feel somewhat shy to send mine, whitch are light years behind what some of you do.

Nonsense, your picture quality is far better than many (including me). Keep creating and posting! you could add a soldier in the image pulling from the horses.

I see here an excellent composition and scene!! Wonderful tones, colors and mood!! You made the mood even stronger by seeing the horses from the backside with the heads a little down. Wonderful snow and glow on the fire!! :)
