Description

Hi all... This piece is based off of an original lineart by Sean Foote (XPSHAYAN). I inked, colored and added a background. I'm really not sure why the guy is crying...Sean gave me some kind of explanation, but it didn't sink in. I suspect he realizes he's so ugly, he'll never have a chance with Vampi. Credits: Sean Foote, Digital Art Tutorials, Wacom Tablet, & PS7 Please comment or criticize constructively. I'm still learning and have a long way to go. Any input would be appreciated.

I think the girl is the better character in this peice. Nice colouring, her hair is nicely coloured. The highlights are good.

Wonderful!!!!!!!!!!You have done justice to my drawing; I am taken aback by your virtousity at imbuing my characters with life. They now stare back at me, beeming with energy and dynamism. In all honesty this is my favorite style of coloring that I have seen from you. What do you call it? I love the variation and richness to your colors and how you were still able to maintain a good amount of detail. I thought nothing would match the coloring outcome for my previous Vampi, but you have definitely raised the standard and quality of your work with this one. Moreover, your creativity with the added effects of the cross, steps, background, and pupils (on Vampi) has strengthened the composition aesthetically. It has now broken the bounds of rigidity, becoming almost "baroque" in its forcefulness. May the force be with you my friend!!

Wow, and I thought I was bias. ^_^ Since the hair's been commented on already, I'll not go there. But I do like how his eyebrows and mustach came out. 👍 I pictured something completely different when you explained this to me in your message (at Ren). Different art styles always call for different coloring styles. Your coloring direction for this peice fits it. Not much dedtail in this one's coloring. But with the lack of detail in the line art, balances it out. I Love the eyes on both characters. I had forgotten how good you are with eyes. Don't know anything about the Line artist, but he does show potential. I just hope he knew/wanted the guy (to be) was ugly. If not...well he does now. :(
