Description

Photograph made with my Nikon D70S and a Tamron lens 18-200 mm. Postwork : effect of soft focus with "Nik Color Efex Pro", and the frame with Photoshop 7

Sorry if my shots of yesterday where a little bit hard for some of you... But it's always interesting to see differents things, and to have differents opinion. Tonight I turn to one of my favorite subjects... the trees. The Jungle in Thailand is so rich in vegetation, and... as always I could'nt give you the name of the tree. But these beautiful leaves, in tender green, are a liana of Vanilla. Some of them could be more than 15 meters, and often with incredible green colors. This one was near a waterfall in the National Park of Soi Dao in the region of Chantaburi. I've made a long walk in this park for 4 hours, crossing small rivers and climbing in the forest to arrive at the waterfalls. A wonderful and wild place, with a lot of butterflies and also some snakes (the one who lives in the trees). I'll show you other photographies of this forest next days. Thank you so much for all your kind comments on the first shots of this serie : "Special Appetizer in Thailand...". If you want to see the last photography post in Giancarlo's gallery, just click here : "Trees, Hearts of the Earth" Have a wonderful Friday my friends ;o))))) Hugssssssssss !!!!! Nathalie, and always close to me, Giancarlo

If there is one thing in particular i remember from Thailand its the jungle. Some of those trees that had grown together were soooo huge!!! We stood, 6 people holding hands around it and we still couldnt reach all the way around. Amazing place indeed. Thanks for the flashback Nathalie. Have a wonderful night. #:O)

I just feel the richness of the land. I hope it stays that we and people are aware that they must set aside land from developments. I would hate to see heavy machinery laying ruin to the land. I know that teak wood has been logged to almost extinction. Thank you for sharing.

It's not easy to find out about the species of trees, plants and animals in tropical countries. The wide diversity leaves even room for unspecified new finds. The green lush is refreshing and all those plants with their own functions must be an overwhelming discovery! Gorgeous work, Nathalie! :)
