Description

For months I have seen pictures created using Wings 3D. Curiosity got the better of me, so yesterday I loaded it off an old 3D world cover disk. This is my first model. It is the prototype for a droid fighter. My plans are to create a series of military space craft ranging from the droid up to battle dreadnaughts 800 meters long. Good, Bad, Ugly, let me know. Thankyou for looking.

Personally I couldn't get past the basics in 3D Wings. I do however LOVE Animation Master, it has a very user friendly feel to it when creating models. (though it costs more than the free 3DW...$299 LOL) But I must say after looking at the functionality,and well thought out design of your driod fighter, I think you can do ANYTHING you set your mind to... Keep up the great work!

I saw this one the other day and was swamped with a project -- the same one you actually commented on (Thanks, btw) --, so I didn't get a chance to say anything. I think this is cool. I like the concept and the greebling is nice, too, without being overdone, particularly as you get your feet wet in Wings. It's clear you're going to be a master of Wings, because this is a terrific effort, regardlesss of your skill level in Wings.

That's some nice work. By the way, Wings is free, so you can download the latest version. I haven't used it myself, so don't know what version it's up to; but it's probably a newer version than from your disk. Keep it up.
