Description

Yesterday, we visited a place not too far from our house, called the Circle B Bar Reserve. It is a 1200 acre wildlife reserve that is free to the public to hike and observe nature. It has oak hammocks, a marsh and sits on the shore of Lake Hancock. I was hoping to get some really good photos but we did not go until after lunch and there was a shadow on the edge of the lake (am going to try to go in the morning next time) Anyway that combined with my slloooowww camera and thick brush around the lake edge made it really difficult to take any photos. I am posting one of the better ones, even though it is dark I think it works. This is an Anhinga, they swim with their entire body submerged and only their head protuding from the water. We also saw a few alligators so I will post a photo of one of them tomorrow. Thank you for all of your comments and advice. Have a wonderful Friday! Wendy
