Welcome to the home of Meshbox Design on Renderosity!
Meshbox Design has been producing 3d content for multiple platforms beginning on 2002. Our world famous Toon Santa for Poser became world famous when it became the 3D "Santa Cam" Santa for the NORAD Tracks Santa program in 2006. Meshbox Design is one of the longest term corporate sponsors of the program. NORAD Tracks Santa goes live every December, and then on December 24, our NORAD Santa flies around the world in real time on the website. He can be viewed on the website itself, or through Android and iOS applications. Each year for the month of December, our NORAD Santa is viewed by upwards of 15-20 million unique viewers just on the NORAD Tracks Santa cam, and featured on many televised news networks.

Your work is allways a very good one, and it looks as well very good, but i was wondering how do this meshes look when rendered with other programs other than 3ds max. Could you show that as well, (or tell where in use)? Has i understand your obj files can also be used in poser and vue.
Meshbox
Hi Mansoa 98 and all, Thanks :-) Actually this wasnt rendered in 3D MAX at all -- it was rendered in Vue 5 Esprit. We do our modelling in MAX 7 but all of our "promo" renders are in Vue 5. Vue is very easy to set up and has a great renderer, as you can tell.

Beautiful model and textures. Two questions: is it possible to see some details in closeup, and, is that dragon skin on the roof?
Meshbox
That is the dragonskin texture we've used on the other buildings (reshaped and adjusted). The texture map for this is 1024 x 1024, so extreme close ups wont look great. Ill post another one tommorrow that's a little closer. After we shipped all of Elven Village Volume 1 (this model here is part of Volume 2) we got requests for additional texture maps. So we came up with Elven Village Volume 1: The Sea Elves. The Sea Elves has 4096x4096 maps and include bump maps, too. We only sell that on Content Paradise (check out our store there). These look REALLY good up close but they are huge. In fact, they were so big that Poser 6 had problems with them, and even e-frontier made some patch changes to manage :-) So we use a default size of 1024 x 1024. This is a good size for much artwork and also, works reasonably well for real time playback. A compromise between games and art.
