Check DAZ's forum. Do a search for Image Size or Rendered Image Size. I find all the answers to my questions there. It's very informative. Daz Studio is a great program...Keep at it.

In Daz/Studio go to the menu: render. Click render settings. In general settings set your presets and pixel dimensions higher. It is there to choose the renderer you want to use (hardware versus software etc.) and your rendering style. Set the pixel dimensions fairly high if you want to do postwork and minimize the size later in Photoshop or whatever you are using. Hope this helps. Good luck !

Yes if you post questions to the Daz forum you will have lots of answer. Apart of this when you save your render do you use save as scene ore save last render? If you use save as scene you will have a small thumb that is normally used by DazStudio as image so you know what you are loading as scene the next time. To have only a picture saved you need to choose the save last render. Before the option is available you need to perform a render first. You also will find lots of information in the DAZ Studio Artist Guide. There is a nice chapter called tutorials! Hope you will have great fun with your render and you will surly improve very quickly.
