Description

This is probably my first straightforward portrait.. only postwork is a healthy cropping and I set it in black and white. Ive been told black and white doesnt do much for my skin, but personally I like the way it draws out imperfections ; in fact most of my life, my favourite black and white photographs have embraced just that - imperfection. The oil on a workers face, the lines in the brow of a great grandmother, the wet darkness of soil or tree bark. You get the picture. Simple. postwork as mentioned, thank you very much for viewing.. Great eyes. Maybe the old saying the black and white of it is right, Everything boils down to the basics and maybe man is better the more elemental he becomes. Anyway great picture!

Expression again! You never take portraits - you depict expressions and emotions. That is rare and takes talent, especially on self-portraits! I'd love to see you become an studio portrait photographer, you certainly have the talent and potential to provide innovative contemporary images of clients... Anyone else agree?
