Description

Photograph made with my Nikon D70S and a Tamron lens 18-200 mm. Postwork : effect of soft focus with "Nik Color Efex Pro", and the frame with Photoshop 7

This is another shot of my serie made in the National Park of Soi Dao, in Chanthaburi province. It's a real part of Jungle. But the only way to protect it from the deforestation and to protect also all the fauna living here, was to make of this forest a "National park"... Anyway in all our climbing inside, we have just seen some Thais at the beginning, and then.... nobody for hours ! I don't know the name of this plant, but I've seen them everywhere in the jungle, on the trees. I think it's a sort of fence, but I'm not shure... Sorry ! I like the tender green and the light on it. It's really a magic forest !!!!! Thank you for all your kindness and your comments on my first shot of yesterday : "Soi Dao National Park 1" If you want to see the last post in GIANCARLO'S gallery, just click here : "Bosco Fontana 2" Have a wonderful week-end my friends !!! Nathalie, and always close to me, Giancarlo

The plant you are speaking of is a fern. The actual name at the moment escapes me. It seems you have had a wonderful time and I really enjoy seeing your photographs of this land. It makes me feel I am taking part in your vacation. Thank you for sharing.

Very interesting shot. The plant obviously depends on the tree. Must have been wonderful being in this forest.

The green lush provides a pretty light for which the human eye is the most sensitive. I agree with Egmont, it certainly appears to be a fern! The capture seems to be moved a bit, but far less in comparison with the movement and excitement you experienced here! :)

The fern seems to be in focus, and that is the subject.. so I say your photo is a success... less hand shake would be experienced if you made the shutter a little faster so that wouldn't happen... and bump up the ISO so that it would work in that light. ;o)
