Description

On Thanksgiving Day my baby of 13 years became very sick, he started loseing his balance, and falling over, his walking was like that of a Drunk. Needless to say we had to take him to Emergancy Vet, Luckly he was diganoisted with a very serious ear infection, I saw luckly because that whole trip there I was so scared I was loseing him. When you spend 13 years of you life with someone, be it human or in this case, Dog human.LOL you tend to get very close to them, well to make this story short, he is recovering, slowly but getting there. His walking is very good, and boy oh boy does he fight over the ear drops, the only problem we have now is his eating, I hope it is just the pills and the meds that are causeing the loss of appitite, he eats and drinks loads of water, but he just don't eat like he used to, before he got sick. Well I wanted to explain to everyone my lack of being around this time, I have to take care of my baby, and I hope this is over soon, and I can get back to all my friends here, and start making art again......................Thanks John

What an absolutely handsome boy he is. I can understand your worry...they're really not pets, they're family. I'm glad it was nothing serious and that there is no underlying condition. I know you'll take good care of him and come back when you can...family always comes first.

Dear John. I can truly understand your worry about your beautiful dog, and family member. I hope from the bottom of my heart that he will recover fast, and that he will start to eat normal again soon. Don't even worry about beeing around in your friends galleries, your friends health means so much more than commenting to pictures. I have a 12 year old cat myself, and when he got sick some month ago, I could not think of anything else, as you say, they become family-members. I really love to see your caring of your wonderful dog. I have always known that you have a big heart, and when people have such a big heart for animals too, they become even more beautiful in my eyes. So take your time my dear friend, and take good care of yourself and your gorgeous furry baby :) I really hope that he will be even better soon, and when he does, I look forward too see your gorgeous art again, John :) ~Best wishes, with love and hugs from your friend, Hedda~

John, so great to have a happy ending your a scary story. Our 'babies' really give us such joy, and we feel such an unconditional love for them that can't really be described, only felt. Two weeks ago I awakened with a very similar dizziness and it really scared me ... and like your 'baby', the doc diagnosed it as an ear problem ... which has now totally cleared up. But the dizziness makes you feel sick to your stomach and you lose your appetite. I'm certain your wonderful companion will be back to normal soon. Miss you and your art. :o) CC '

Add my sentiments to everyone else here. He's beautiful John! A cocker? My favorite. I'm really glad you were able to have a good ending. As for the appetite, it will return. Meds can do a lot in that manner. As long as he's getting plenty of fluids. That's the main thing.

It's great to hear from you, John, and although it's sad to hear what is happening with your best friend, it sounds as if there is a great deal of hope he will get back to normal! Sometimes they give us quite a scare as they can't talk to us and tell us what the problem is, but at least you caught it soon enough to remedy the problem! A great image indeed and don't worry about the galleries...they can wait! Excellent image and hang in there!

Hey John...I'm so glad he came out of this well. I worked for a Mobile Vet Clinic a few years ago and I know how hard it is for every pet owner to go through the trauma of their pet being ill. I think his system is just out of whack. He should pick up on his eating as he gets to feel better and better. Check with you vet in a week or so if he has not improved, just to be sure. God Bless you my friend!...Cheryl

Wish your good friend the best of luck and hope he will be 100% well again. It's important to use time on those who need it the most, your close ones. Very pretty dog you have, thoughts from Audun.

Isn't he cute! I am so glad to hear he is recovering from his ear infection. I know what you mean about giving drops to the pets. We have two cats, and had to give them antibiotics. They fought us tooth and nail!

He's gorgeous and I'm so glad that it was only an ear infection. I don't mean ONLY as that it's not bad but when dogs reach that age anything can happened. I have a dog named Rosie and I just adore her and don't know what I'd do without my little imp. I hope your dog gets well fast and makes a full and happy recovery. My prayers are with you. HUGS Maria

Oh what a cute and lovely looking dog photography! It's very normal an ear problem can cause balance problems and medicine and pills are not good for elder dogs! What do they do they drink a lot of water to float the poison away! I wish a fast and happy recovery! Give him a lot of water and keep the door open! smile On of our dogs had this one too. V
