The sky IMO is great and I love the ground. It "feels" cold to me. i like it very much
arcamus
really good for a first try. my only comment would be that you should try something to increase the feeling of depth because the background mountain looks a bit 2D

The water and hunks of icy snow in this is so realistic. I agree with arcamus about the mountains. I spent time in the Canadian Rockies. You got the color on the mountains, cause in the mist they look pink. Try putting mist around them, to give them a far off feel.
The MonsMan
U did a good job here Maximus. Leave it this way.

I think it really well done. The only thing I could say to improve it would be to increase the resolution of the terrains. Other than that I think you did a fine job. Schnaps

This looks pretty damn nice for a first try. That water is perfect for the scene.

Thanks for the advice everyone but I'm not sure that I know how to give the backround mountain a more 3D look.

This looks wonderfull for a 1st try. I wouldn't even dream of posting some of my first landscapes, they look sick in comparison. Try a very wispy, very translucent cloudpane about halfway down the rear mountains, that might do it. (but save the orig, j.i.k.)

For someone who didn't know what he was doing it sure came out TERRIFIC!!! Verdie : )
