I don't know how to put this, but don't you and Jan Carel find this kind of landscape a bit... flat?

Lovely creek between waterbodies. Always exciting to find these islets. Very fascinating.

The reflection in the back-bar lagoon makes this pic. The faint breeze ripples on that glassy water add interest -- Dick

Took me a view looks before I really could appreciate what you captured here - the peaceful foreground is great, but it wasn't until I picked up on the contrast of the breaking wave in the centerground that I began to see that this 'worked.' Excellent job! +++

Wow, it's 'Sinterklaas' (St Nicholas) here in the Netherlands and we celebrate that in a similar way like many do with Santa Claus! It means Sinterklaas, the old saint man, comes with his black people (all called 'Zwarte piet' - Black (Moorish) Pete) who come to visit us out of Spain (referring to the time the Spaniards occupied the Netherlands) with his parcel-boat (some weeks ago he arrived and December 5 is the day we celebrate). Sinterklaas sends his Black Petes and he does himself some work with his white horse walking over the roofs and deliver people presents (through the chimney). You can imagine this feeling that spontaneously came up in me seeing this wonderful gift! Thank you so much, it's a brilliant capture! Maybe flat to Charles, but the beauty is not limited by mountains! Like Glenn suggested it's just about looking with some extra attention to enjoy the specialty of it! Love the sparkling reflections and the contrast between the see on the move and the silent water in front of it! Excellent work, Rozanne! :)

This reminds me of a beach home we had long years ago. When the tide comes in, it will bring in the sea water creating a little pond with little fish. Beautiful dedi. Aloha
