Description

If you ever visited my homepage here on R'osity you've seen I've got short hair. The main reason why is because my hair is so thin it looks just awful when I grow it any longer than my shoulders. I can quite envy women with thick long hair *sigh* When my daugther was little I used to dream that she would grow her hair long and that I could do beautiful things with it. Well, although she has rather fine hair too, she did grow it long. Unfortunately for me she doesn't allow me to do anything with it. She always wears it lose (I'm not sure if that is the right term in English). Only when she goes outside she quickly makes a tail to prevent the wind from blowing it into knots. The only time I'm allowed to plate her hair is on very special occasions (like on her grandparent's 50th anniversary or my own 25th). But I can still dream that maybe one day I can do beautiful things with her hair (although I never got the chance to practice). :-D Yvonne

at least you have a daughter with long hair. i did not manage that at all. and like you i have the most incredible thin hair, i cant even let it grow to my shoulders, as you well know.and our mother cut my hair when i was three and never ever i had a ribbon in my hair. one move with my head and the ribbon was gone, sigh, sigh and sigh.how did we manage to turn out quite happy? i love your ribbons, allways wished i needed them... someday.......

Besides the melancholic story it's a nice composition.

Your story brought back daughter memories for me too. For first grade I bought 5 new dresses so she would have a new one each day the first week. She wore one the first day, came home and announced she was the only girl in a dress and she wanted pants because she wasn't wearing any more dresses. I think the next time I saw her in a dress was for her first prom in high school. But she did let me fix her hair the way I wanted it so I guess I should have no complaints.
