She is 12
She is lost and alone
one of the nameless ones - the street is her home
She begs for money but any money she gets will only go towards satisfying the immediate hunger that lives within her be it food or drugs
It will never satisfy the deep and unvoiced hunger she has that consumes her and drove her to where she is today
The hunger for protection, security and love
As you surround yourselves with your loved ones or wrap gifts for your children remember her and those like her who will have nothing and no one
Keep thinking and feeling and never forget

This is my 600th post and not what I intended to create but after a fight with my stubborn willful daughter (lol like arguing with myself) and hearing the advertisement for the Christmas wishing tree (for donating gifts to children who won't get any otherwise) this is the image that happened

arnt children amazing love put here to remind you just how you scrwed up, but determined to repeat your past no matter how hard we yell..just know we can cushion the blow becouse we know how and where they will fall cause we've done it before...on the sad note who catches the little lost ones when its 3 degrees outside keep them in your prayers if you cant feed them your self ,((a stunning 600th well felt and created))

As a social worker I am painfully aware of how much we need to do for our own people, specially the young, here in our country. Yet it seems there is never enough money to get it done, but there is always money to care for others in other contries and for war. Common sense, take care of your own first!
