A Tiger for Mea (Photoshop) www.renderosity.com/mod/gallery/index.php

I have been drawing since I was 11, some 33 years ago.
My 6th grade teacher, Mr. Knoss, was a great artist and I greatly admired his illustrations. He encouraged me to pursue my artistic interests at a crucial time in my development.
My High School art teacher "Vern", was also a great influence. He always challenged me to try different things.
I was lucky that my parents were very supportive of my interest in art. I studied at The Minneapolis College of Art and Design (1986-1990). Where I was humbled by many great artists that were far more talented than I. There it was that I rounded out my fine art skills, and then chose to major in Media Arts. Studied film, video and sound. Learned all the skills needed to shoot, direct, edit those mediums.
While pursuing a Media Arts major, I discovered computer graphics, still in it's infancy. This is where I came to an Epiphany. Here was a new medium, that incorporated everything I had previously learned into one new medium. Not only that, but it had new dimensions, interactivity, feedback, randomness, AI. I was hooked.
The next 17 years I learned and grew with the industry. Learning everything from how to create and manipulate digital imagery and create animations, to interface design and interactive authoring. My day job is an Information Architect, a fancy term for software interface design.
A few years back, my wife and I hit on some difficult times (As many people do) and it was during a very dark time in our lives that I discovered what became Renderosity, Initially I posted work, merely as a way to get myself back into the discipline of making new art.
I was delighted to find a world-wide community of talented artists, exchanging ideas and art!! I was thrilled! I have learned so much from you, and your art has brightened up my world. I am lucky to have made some great friends here, and I aim to do tributes to all of you!

LOL ... I see a dog lookin' in wonderin' what all the fuss is about -- nice touch. I'm sure Burpee will appreciate this ... funny how cats are in most of her images. :-) And I'm sure she'll appreciate this most appropriate image. Well done. ** BTW I just sent this to Burpee: Instructions on how to clean your toilet 1. Put both lids of the toilet up and add 1/8 cup of pet shampoo to the water in the bowl. 2. Pick up the cat and soothe him while you carry him towards the bathroom. 3. In one smooth movement - put the cat in the toilet and close both lids...You may need to stand on the lid. 4. The cat will self agitate and make ample suds. Never mind the noises that come from the toilet, the cat is actually enjoying this. 5. Flush the toilet three or four times. This provides a "power-wash" and rinse". 6. Have someone open the front door of your home. Be sure that there are no people between the bathroom & the front door. 7. Stand behind the toilet as far as you can, and quickly lift both lids. 8. The cat will rocket out of the toilet, streak through the bathroom, and run outside where he will dry himself off. 9. Both the commode and the cat will be sparkling clean. Sincerely, The Dog

There are times I think this is how my cats see the world without catnip. Totally fun image with perfect posing on the kitties. Great touch adding the doggie in the window. I really enjoy this one.

ROTFL!!! Woo...wooo...the room is swaying!! Oh my, these critters are having way too much fun...poor pup wants in on the action, lol!!! Hey....isn't that Yukon? What's he doing trying to party with a bunch of girls? Hahaa!! Gene, the ASCPA will be at your house today to collect "the dog" (evil snicker here). What a hoot...btw, the cats didn't think it was funny :D

Nicely done effect leading to a fun to view image true to its title and intro . . . Excellent!
Digimon
I am so glad you like it Nancy! No, actually that isn't Yukon, but one of his neighborhood pals. When I started my search of our photo library for an outside shot, as fate would have it, this was the first image I saw, and I thought "Perfect". The dog seems to know something is up! Maybe it is the number of cats that are going into the house, and none coming out? ; )

Whoa! Takes me right back to the sixties! Love the moving room, and the pooch whining at the window. Great image! (and, oh yes, Burpee is an excellent artist, on my favorites)

The curtain are like claw marks and I especially love the dog looking in on the party. It reminds me of a line from a movie 'dogs droll and cats rule'. Even the clip of Natasha Kinski with the lion in back from her first big brake in the movies is a fantastic touch. This is more than a sure winner, it is going on to my desktop. Thank you for sharing and have a grand weekend.

Bravo Egmont! You are the first to notice/mention Nastasia Kinski in "Cat People". You get the prize! There are also a couple of other subtle bits in there...
